HI-NRG Classics 1 from a Live Stream 2020-04-04
A Live Stream Set from my twitch.tv/djzlor page. some NRG and some wailing woman songs (and I tossed a guy singer in there also) to dance around the house
From a live Stream, some Nu Disco and some House
This was streamed live on Youtube, of course some of it there was muted out, here is the the full version. Music that was played back at the end of the 80’s at the Santa Rosa Inn in Santa Rosa, California
When going though music, sometimes some give the feeling of older video game background music, or the song is even about video games. Here is a mix of those
A streamed live on Twitch.tv set, 90s Dance pop, low BPM to about 120.
A re-wire studio and this mix is just grabbing some new releases from the last month or, I gotta hear them somehow, so I’ll just mix em
This set is a test of Live Streaming though twitch.tv. Also testing the connections in my studio. Mixing between vinyl and digital
Yes, it’s vinyl, hum scratches and all. I do not know the playlist as Lester Temple selected the songs for me to mix into, key mixing was not part of the mix so some not so pleasant sounds my occur. It is just something different, 2 mixes at different times put into 1. long layovers with a lot of riding the beat, so yeah, it goes off at times but i’ll get ya back there. Just a lot of experimentation, sharing to share unplanned mixing of music i don’t know or have never heard. Not even sure what category to put it in.
After going through some old cassettes and ratty sounding one contained a 70’s mix tape… the kind where you did your best to hold down the little red button and turn the knob to play as the built in microphone recorded from a speaker nearby… turning to stop in time to cut off the radio station call letters being said. I went through the tape and hear K and a CLIck many times but one spot had the KFRC complete, a now no longer san francisco AM radio station from my childhood. Hearing the songs I decided to do a kind of tribute mix to that music, adding a few that were a bit ‘newer’. 2 hours of 70s and early 80s Radio Pop Rock. A new mix tape, in the mix.
